“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.
In the same way your Father in Heaven Is not Willing that any of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:12-14
In Matthew 18, The Lord Jesus tells the parable of the wandering sheep. But what does this wandering sheep represent? It is none other than those who have not yet accepted The Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior and therefore do not walk according to His Teachings.
The Lord Jesus tells us that the man who owns 100 sheep leaves the other 99 and goes to look for the wandering sheep. Similarly, The Lord Jesus uses various means to call to Him those who do not yet follow Him.
But they can only be saved when they hear The Lord Jesus’s Voice and follow It, that is, when they listen to His Word, receive It with faith and put It into practice. From that moment on, The Lord Jesus can guide them to the flock of the redeemed on The Path of Eternal Life.
