” Then The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’
Is anything too hard for The Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”” Genesis 18,13-14
In Genesis 18, The Lord said that Sarah would have a child of Abraham, but Sarah laughed; she did not believe it because of her old age.
Are we different from Sarah? Very often, we fall into despair because we cease to believe in God’s Promises, we lose faith because of our limitations. In this case, Sarah was limited by her old age, which made her lose all hope of having a child. As a result, she did not believe in God’s Promise because of this limitation.
However, she had forgotten that God Is The Master and Creator of all things.
We must not forget that although we are limited beings, God Himself Is Unlimited. What He says, He accomplishes. His Word Is Truth. His Promises are True, but they are only for those who do His Will, just like Abraham. For those who do not do His Will, the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah will be reserved for them.
