In Psalm 16, King David said:
“I say to The Lord, “You Are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.” Psalm 16,2
For King David, The Lord Is The One who directs his life and his main source of happiness. He does not turn to other gods but constantly looks to The Lord. So his priority is to do The Will Of God, to follow His Commandments. And by doing this, he finds joy and gets counsel from God Who guides him on The Path of Life.
We Christians must take King David as an example. If we make Jesus our Lord and our source of happiness, we will not seek solutions elsewhere than in His Word. If we submit to The Will Of God at all times, He will enlighten us and we will experience joy.
” You make known to me The Path of Life; You will fill me with joy in Your Presence, with Eternal Pleasures at Your Right Hand.” Psalm 16:11
