“The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and The Good News is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of Me.” Matthew 11,5-6
The Lord Jesus represents The Divine Presence on earth: God dwelt among men. We can see in Matthew 11 that The Lord Jesus gave us a preview of Heaven, where there will be no more suffering. He acted with power and accomplished things that had no scientific explanation: the blind received sight, the lame walked, those who had leprosy were cleansed, the deaf heard, and the dead were raised. He Came to carry our burdens, get rid of our diseases, our sufferings. He brought us The Good News. The poor can regain hope because, if they put their faith in Him, The Savior, they can have hope for a better life without suffering in The Kingdom of Heaven and the same applies for anyone who puts his/her faith in Him. And now, The Lord Jesus offers to provide us rest. Let’s not hesitate to have recourse to Him.
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My Yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I Am Gentle and Humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My Yoke is Easy and My Burden is Light.” Matthew 11,28-30
