“Therefore everyone who hears These Words of Mine and puts Them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-25
The Lord Jesus invites us to put His Words into practice. He made a comparison with a house built on the rock. Our spiritual house is our soul. If we apply The Word Of God, we will be better prepared to face adversities of life. Even if we face difficulties, we’ll get through without damage; our soul will remain firm in faith. However, if we do not put The Word Of The Lord into practice, we can be compared to a house built on sand, which means that we have no solid foundation, and therefore we will easily be defeated when we face trials of life; our soul will be downcast.
“But everyone who hears These Words of Mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:26-27
